about the chef
I
live with my husband in North Beach, MD, a little paradise we found,
just about 30 minutes from Annapolis. I am originally from Brazil,
where my passion for good food started with my mother's and grandmother's
cooking. My mother introduced me to savory cooking when I was about
10 years old. As I grew older, my artistic skills led me to Art
school where I graduated with an Arts Education degree in 1987.
Later, with my degree in hand and a sense of adventure, I packed
my bags and traveled to the U.S.A. to begin a new chapter of my
life.
But deep in my soul, my passion for cooking remained. My cooking
interests grew as I watched TV shows and browsed through cook books.
As I improved my skills I found myself to be imaginative in the
kitchen creating my own dishes with whatever ingredients I had on
hand. By exercizing this method, I was able to master my craft to
make it my very own.
Now I am a graduate of the Culinary Business Academy and a Member
of the United States Personal Chef Association and I continue to
improve my skills and knowledge in the art of cooking. I am very
pleased to be able to make a career out of what I love to do most
in my life, cooking.
